Terms of Use

Using FaultCue means accepting what follows.

General information, not a service manual

These guides describe how appliances behave in general. They are not a substitute for your model's documentation, the manufacturer's instructions, or a technician looking at your actual machine.

Designs vary and change. Something true of most dishwashers may be false of yours. Where this site and the paperwork that came with your appliance disagree, the manufacturer wins.

You decide what to attempt

Cut power before opening anything. Stop when you are unsure. Hand gas work, sealed refrigeration systems and live electrical testing to someone licensed for it. If you smell gas, leave the building and call your gas utility or 911 before doing anything else — including reading the rest of a guide.
